‘Starting new books is always so hard, until the story grabs her and steals her heart’, sings Terhi, in perhaps the most poignant moment on her debut release, Diaries of a Mending Heart. (2nd May 2011/Rockhopper Records) The EP marks her foray into the music business but the Finland-born erstwhile globetrotter has certainly never been afraid to embrace new challenges.
Terhi’s punchy and ‘easy to relate to’ lyrics reflect her attitude to life, she combines them with catchy melodies and quirky arrangements to produce a package that is always recognizable as hers, although her style varies from rock to ballads to blues, with some punky beats, a touch of country, and even some calypso rhythms.
Terhi is currently working on her full album with co-writer and producer Steve Redfearn.
